Press Release: Midas launch non-standard home insurance, Jewel, on Acturis
Yesterday Midas Underwriting went live on Acturis with their non-standard home product Midas Jewel.
The policy is designed to cover the types of risks usually declined by other insurers including clients with previous criminal convictions and bankruptcy; properties suffering previous subsidence, listed buildings, properties undergoing building works, extended unoccupancy and business use at the home.
Midas has increased the blanket cover available under the Jewel product, for Acturis users, to Buildings Sum Insured up to £1m and Contents Sum Insured up to £100k (higher limits are available on referral).
Ant Sherlock, Head of Key Accounts across Midas & Geo said of the launch, “This is a great opportunity for us to expand our product distribution across the Acturis community of brokers. Acturis has increased it’s focus on Personal Lines products over recent years and we are excited about making our product available to the ever-increasing list of brokers trading on the Acturis platform and providing EDI access to our non-standard home product.”
Jim Lorimer, Acturis Personal Lines Director commented, “We welcome Midas Underwriting to our Home panel and the increased opportunity for our brokers to place non-standard Home risks. Our ongoing growth and pipeline in Personal Lines continues to attract Insurers to our panels.”
